Supporting Pre-Service Teachers Hub

Berinba Public School is a wonderul place to learn, grow and belong.

We warmly welcome pre-service teachers into our school community. We believe in nurturing the next generation of educators with the same care, respect, and encouragement we offer our students.

Your placement with us is more than just professional experience, it is a chance to grow with the support of passionate mentors, to feel a true sense of belonging, and to begin shaping your teaching identity in a safe and inspiring space.

Our classrooms are places of learning for everyone, including you. With guidance from experienced educators and opportunities to engage meaningfully in all aspects of our school life, you’ll be supported to develop your confidence, capability, and voice as a teacher.

We are proud to walk beside you on this important part of your journey. You are not just a visitor, you are part of our team, and your presence brings new energy, ideas, and joy to our school.

We look forward to learning and growing with you.

Our Pre-service teacher handbook and Berinba policy document outlines the professional expectations, key responsibilities, and the range of support structures we have in place to ensure that all pre-service teacher placements are meaningful, well-guided, and rewarding for both the pre-service teachers and mentors.

It is designed to provide clarity around the roles of supervising teachers, expectations for professional conduct and communication, and the processes that support reflective practice, feedback, and growth.

At Berinba Public School, our aim is to foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment where emerging educators feel empowered to learn, contribute, and thrive as they take these important first steps into the teaching profession.
