Berinba Public School commenced in February, 1972.
“Berinba” is derived from an Ngunawal word meaning “to the south”. A school serving the southern portion of the town to the ACT border. Located in the diverse rural location of Yass. Berinba Public School is a P2 Primary School. The current enrolment of the school is 262 students. It provides a broad curriculum for K-6 students for the community of Yass and its surrounds. Our core values at Berinba are:

These values underpin the school programs relating to student wellbeing.
There are currently 11 mainstream classes for children in years K-6. We also provide three Enriched learning classes where children with autism, learning/physical disabilities and behavioural needs are supported.
The school has a modern hall, library and classroom blocks. Students enjoy extensive grounds with an oval, fixed playground equipment and sporting facilities. The school has an amazing community support and brilliant students. Staff are strong, caring adults with students growth, wellbeing and learning at heart.
The school has a comprehensive Creative Arts program which includes the school choir, which has participated in New South Wales Schools Spectacular over the past ten years, a school band, the CATS dance and drama groups.
Berinba Public School is inclusive and provides a secure, safe and productive learning environment for a number of students with additional needs. The school has three Enriched Learning Classes to support students. These classes can be accessed through fulfilling the Department of Education application process.
