Volunteering at school

Helping out at school is a great way to get involved in your child’s education as well as get to know the staff and other parents and carers.

Research shows that children benefit when their parents or carers are actively involved in their education and school life.

You can help by:

  • listening to children read in the classroom
  • volunteering on sports days
  • helping supervise excursions
  • getting involved in fundraising activities
  • joining school committees.

Voluntary contributions

Volunteering at Berinba PS is a great way to meet people and make friends while raising funds that are donated to the school. Families can made a contribution fee, or support fundraising initiatives throughout the year.

Volunteers

All volunteers assisting in school activities must sign in at the school office prior to entering classrooms or canteen.  All volunteers are required to have completed a Working With Children Check and provide 100 points of ID to our front office.
