Our approach to digital learning is centred on engagement, purpose and meaningful learning experiences. From interactive classroom programs and collaborative learning platforms to creative digital projects, we use technology to bring learning to life. Our students are encouraged to explore, investigate, problem-solve, communicate and create, developing the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
As a NSW public school, we benefit from access to a wide range of high-quality digital resources, educational programs and learning platforms provided by the NSW Department of Education. These resources allow our teachers to design engaging, inclusive and differentiated learning experiences that respond to the diverse strengths, interests and learning needs of our students.
Looking Ahead: A Balanced Approach to Digital Learning
Starting in Term 1, 2027, Berinba Public School will begin a phased implementation of the NSW Department of Education's new approach to digital technology and screen use, ahead of the policy becoming mandatory in 2028.
This provides an exciting opportunity to strengthen how we engage students in their learning and ensure that technology is used intentionally, rather than simply being used more frequently. We recognise that meaningful student engagement comes from a balance of experiences, including explicit teaching, hands-on exploration, collaboration, physical activity, creativity and purposeful digital learning.
Our focus will be on ensuring that every digital experience adds value to student learning, encourages active participation and supports students to think critically, work collaboratively and take ownership of their learning.
Through this approach, we will continue to create engaging and innovative learning environments where technology complements, but does not replace quality teaching, strengthens connections and provides opportunities for every student to experience success.
